In her works, the artist emphasizes clarity of construction, the purity of classic lines and harmonious colour combinations. Drāzniece gained great popularity after designing stage costumes for pop singer Laima Vaikule. She has experimented with large-size fabric prints, aligning the text, graphic signs and patterns with specific cuts. Her “Perestroika” collection (1985) showed the agility with which fashion design could react to political developments and it made an important contribution to Latvian fashion.
